Temple: Sri Devi Karumariamman kovil, BEML layout, Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. 🌻 ✨ Mariamman is a Hindu goddess, whose worship probably originated in pre-vedic India. She is the main Tamil mother goddess, predominantly in the rural areas of Tamilnadu. In the post-vedic period, Mari was associated to Hindu goddess like Parvati, Kali and Durga as well as with her North Indian counterpart Shitala Devi and Eastern Indian counterpart Manasa. 🌻 ✨ The word Mari has a Sangam Tamil origin meaning "Rain" and the Tamil word Amman means "Mother". She was worshipped by the ancient Tamils as the bringer of rain and thus also the bringer of prosperity. 🌻 ✨ The worshipping methods are often accompanied by various kinds of folk dancing. Offerings such as pongal and koozh that are cooked using earthen pots are also made during the festive season. Rituals such are 🔥 fire walking and mouth or nose piercing are also practiced. 🌻 ✨📷 PC: FB official website. Temple: Kala Bhairava sannidhi, Sri Devi Karumariamman kovil, BEML layout, Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. 🌻 ✨ Bhairava originates from the word Bhiru, which means "Fearful". Bhairava means "terribly fearful form". It is also known as one who destroys fear or one who is beyond fear. There is also another interpretation Bha means creation, ra means sustenance and Va means destruction. Therefore, Bhairava is the one who creates, sustains and dissolves the three stages of life. Therefore, he becomes the ultimate or the supreme. 🌻 ✨ The origin of Bhairava can be traced to a conversation between Brahma and Vishnu which is recounted in the "Shiva Mahapuranam". In it Vishnu inquired to brahma, "who is the supreme creator of the Universe?". Arrogantly, Brahma told Vishnu to worship him as supreme creator. One day, Brahma thought "I have five heads. Shiva also has five heads. I can do everything that Shiva does and therefore I am shiva". Brahma became a little egotistical as a result of this. Additionally, he began to forget the work of Shiva and also started interfering in what Shiva was supposed to be doing. 🌻 ✨ Consequently, Mahadeva threw a small nail from his finger which assumed the form of Kala Bhairava and casually went to cut off one of Brahmas head. The skull (Kapala) of Brahma is held in the hands of Kala Bhairava, Brahma's ego was destroyed and he became enlightened. In the form of the Kala Bhairava, Shiva is said to be guarding each of the Shaktipeeth. Each Shaktipeeth is accompanied by a temple dedicated to Bhairava. 🌻 ✨📷 PC: FB official website, Please do follow and support @templerunsanti 🌻 🌻 #sivasiva🌞 #bholenath #shivshakti #bhairava #harharmahadevॐ #lordshiva #harharmahadev #bhole #jaibholenath #jaimahakal #nammakarnataka #alankaram #nammabengaluru #shivji #mahadev #mahakal #har_har_mahadev #Karnatakatemples #kalabhairava #templerunsanti #templesofkarnataka🙏🙏 #shivatemple #shivshankar #mahadeva #omnamahshivay #bambambhole #shivshambhu #mahadev_har #jaimahakal #bholebaba #bhairav

Temple: Ram Setu, Dhanushkodi, Rameswaram, Tamilnadu, India. 🌻 ✨ Rama Setu - An Ancient Engineering Marvel. 🌻 ✨Indian civilization has strong tradition of sci & tech. It was land of sages, scholars, and scientists. Hindu is a knowledge based civilization, the Vedic texts can't be dismissed as mythologies or as work of imagination. Let us know the greatest engineering marvel of all time. Rama was the world’s first king to build a bridge across the sea. But he did not do it on his own. He sought the help of a Nala, an engineer who has designed the whole construction. 🌻 ✨ The text of Ramayana gives the records of the building project in detail. As the epic says, there were special stones employed; namely, they could float on the water surface. Actually floating stones can be still found on the coast of Rameshwaram where the bridge starts in India. Some scientists claim it is pumice, which is the volcanic rock that can initially float on the water due to its smaller density. The theory of pumice stones, however, has been strongly contested. First of all, there is no volcano in the areas of Rameswaram, nor any evidence of its existence there in the past. So how did pumice stones appear there, if they are volcanic rocks? Athough rocks found near the bridge are similar to corals or pumice in appearance, at closer examination it is found that they are not. 🌻 ✨ After all, the concept of floating stones found in Rameshwaram and potentially used in Ramayana has not been explained yet. But NASA also confirmed that there was a bridge through the satellite pictures. Some may argue that it was some natural rock projection. Any wise engineer will use such naturally elevated areas instead of deep waters to build a bridge. Thanks to Nala, Rama was able to cross the sea!! 🌻 ✨📷 PC: @clios_chronicles, Please do follow and support @templerunsanti 🌻 🌻 #narayana #rama #vishnu #bhagavadgita #jaisriram #krishnavani #ramji #rambhakt #srirangam #sita #lordrama #lordvishnu #vishnutemple #lordkrishna #sitarama #harekrishna #radhekrishna #sriram #perumal #jaishreeram #lordbalaji #ramayana #lakshman #templerunsanti #ramsetu #RamJanmbhoomi #RamMandir #ayodhya #rameswaram #dhanushkodi

Temple: Kishkinda or Anjanadri hill, Hampi, Bellary district, Karnataka, India. 🌻 ✨ Kishkinda is the birth place of Lord Hanuman. Kishkinda is the kingdom of the Vanara king Sugriva, the younger brother of Vali, in the epic Ramayana. According to Sanatan Dharma, Hanuman was born to Anjana and thus Hanuman was also called as Anjaneya, and his birthplace Anjaneyadri (Anjana's Hill). 🌻 ✨ Anjeyanadri Hill is surrounded by lovely plantain and paddy fields. The hill has a white washed Hanuman temple at the top. It has about 575 steps. Though the climb involves a large number of steps, it is quite safe to ascent the hill due to the presence of the stone stairs. 🌻 ✨📷 PC: @imusafironline, Please do follow and support @templerunsanti 🌻 🌻 #jaibajrangbali #hanumanji #bajrangbali #lordhanuman #hanuman #jaishriram #jaihanuman #jaisriram #shrihanuman #jaishreeram #shreeram #siyaram #templesofkarnataka🙏🙏 #shriram #anjenya #hanumantemple #anjaliputra #hanumanchalisa #bajrangi #hanumanasana #jaimahakal #Anjaneya #hampi #pawanputrahanuman #ajanadri_parvatha #templerunsanti #jaisiyaram #panduranga #Karnatakatemples #bellary
