The ruins of the Lucas Family Grist Mill have been sitting here in Charlotte, NC since 1970, when the mill caught fire and closed for good. It was built around 1935 by Dr. Charles Lucas who moved to Charlotte during the great depression from New York. The mill was used to grind grain into flour for the family. Around the backside of the ruins I noticed the L embedded into the stone walls which was a really neat touch. Also shoutout to Bogie for being a lovely model and assistant today.
