Non Fried Dal Pakwaan !!! A classic Sindhi breakfast. It is super tasty and the best thing is that this isn’t fried so you can have 1 extra than usual.
Recipe for the Pakwaan
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup maida
2 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ajwain
Water to knead the dough
Mix the oil in the dry ingredients and rub it. Add water to knead a stiff dough. Cover & Let the dough rest for 30 mins.
Divide the dough into small balls and roll out really thin pakwaans, brush it lightly with oil & bake it in the oven for about 10 to 12 mins or until it gets golden & crispy.
You can use leftover thickened dal on this with onion, tomato, nimbu & chutneys. Tastes BOMB !
