felt a whole lot like we were on Mars!
When we first started homeschooling, I definitely tried to recreate school at home. I tried to do spelling tests every Friday, and I wanted to do worksheet after worksheet because that helped me measure learning and feel like I was teaching. I’ve slowly let go of trying to create school at home. Instead, I’m learning how to casually teach through conversations, experiences, and bedtime books.
As we hiked to the delicate arch viewpoint, my boys counted the steps. Camden read every single plaque we passed by. We read as many books as we could find about the national park.
I’m slowly learning to trust in this process and create a home that fosters education as much as possible!
